It's a Govt. Hostel. All the rooms and bathroom are very good and clean. The food quality is also decent. And one can easily go to many tourist places from here. You can access the library in your leisure time. There are many good books from the renowned authors of Bengal.

It's a nice place to stay, staff behaviour is very good and cooperative! It's just 10 minutes distance from chalsa bus stand, one can avail car service from here for sightseeing or anything else. The rooms are clean and there is also a good view from the terrace and room. Ajay Gurung, I have met here is an honest and very helpful person. He is very calm and cool and always smiles from the heart. He will always try to help you in every situation.

My experience is very very good. The rooms are really neat and clean. The staffs are very good. The views are amazing from various side. I would highly recommend Chalsa Youth Hostel. It is clearly "সস্তায় পুষ্টিকর".

Very good in all aspects. Great location. Affordable room rate and food is also good.All the staffs are well mannered and cooperative. The manager is also helpful and a jolly person. A small decent library is also available. Rooms are spacious. Stayed there for 4days from 10th to 14th January 2025 . The staffs arranged kalimpong trip for us

The cottages where we stayed in October 2024 are very nice, spacious and well maintained. There are beds for 4 persons to stay in each cottage, a kitchen with water filter, dining table, wifi, good service. Food is ordinary, but you don't come here to eat. You take your food outside, during the tours. A nice place.

This is a very big property in prime location in Chalsa. Rooms are clean very big, well ventilated, with clean toilet and balcony in most affordable price. Whatever I say is less for the property. There is a kitchen along in the ground floor and food is really nice.there is a parking place in front of the property, inside the main gate. The view is very good that you can see the forest in front of you. The sighting of peacock and deer is possible from monsoon to Nov near the property itself. Wish to visit again and again.

Beautifully located place. I just loved the spacious, airy rooms. The balconies just took my heart away... The staffs need special mention. They are so courteous and friendly and helpful. The little library is perfect to accompany your little leisure there. The books kept there clearly shows the taste of mind of the Officer over there. It's a must visit if you are planning your trip to North bengal within budget.

We stayed here from 28th. to 30th. August 2025.We booked a four bedded AC room which was a very big one with all modern facilities. There were two AC, four ceiling fans, two balconies in the room. The room was regularly cleaned. The canteen in the ground floor was really good with limited options but palatable dishes. They serve food with care and hospitality. The owner Mr.Sahidul Islam is a nice person. Other employees namely Bubai and Koushik were also very helpful.They cooked the famous Boroli fish for us which was really mouth-watering. Above all the location was really nice amid lush green forest.Chalsa Youth Hostel is always recommended.
